Raised on a farm near London, Ontario Tracey developed a connection to movement while running through corn fields and jumping from hay lofts with her younger brother in tow.  She feels privileged to make her living today choreographing, interpreting, teaching and facilitating dance.  Based in Toronto, Tracey’s choreography has been commissioned and presented by  many organizations and series including, Dance Ontario, DanceWorks, Canadian Children’s Dance Theatre, York Dance Ensemble, Season Finale of Series 8:08,  Kinetic Studio (Halifax), Festival de Danse en l’Atlantique (Cap-Pele, NB), Toronto International Dance Festival/fFIDA, HowDareShe Productions, and Larchaud Dance Project.  She has had the pleasure of performing in works by exciting independent choreographers including, Larchaud Dance Project, Jesse Dell, Darcey Callison, Meagan O’Shea and Ali Gratian, as well as working as an outside eye to several artists.  Tracey is a board member for the Canadian Alliance of Dance Artists and a member of the Canadian Dance Assembly and Dance Ontario.  She is the Alternative Technique Class Program Manager and Outreach Coordinator for Series 8:08 and teaches dance to children.  She holds a BFA in dance and is an MFA candidate in Choreography at York University, Toronto. Currently Tracey is creating three dance works connected by the theme of cartography and looks forward to an upcoming collaboration on body language with visual artist Brendan Fernandes
